THE 25^th OCTOBER AFTERMATH

Every action has a counter reaction, on the 25^th  of October every Tanzanian who had an eligible voter id went to the polling stations and casted his/her vote even those who were fist timers played their role, it was the first election since we gained our independence in 1961, that so many Citizen came forth in hundredth  to take part in the  historical moment,  the little fingers were dipped, and came out blue marking a  responsible citizen who made his choice in a democratic manner, people were proud to vote, proud to be a part of cog in running machine that is going to change its efficiency. As it began dawn and took its end in dusk.

The rest of the days after the voters made their choices were hectic in some areas national wide, some were having pharaoh patience and had tolerance of a camel, some didn’t want to acknowledge any kind of information that didn’t match in their agenda, they gathered and demanded what is theirs as they chanted with voices of need, the state couldn’t resist the urge to keep order, police were inbound and restored order. UKAWA  came forth to press cried out the injustice done by the Police ,  vandalism done its equipment involved in tallying apprehension of its human resources assigned to acquired voting results and tallying for a more broad view  on how the entire election is going on but no one came to rescue, as people had no torelence  to the electoral officials and not  let them handle what they know best, perhaps is due to the fact that UKAWA doubted NEC from the genesis of the campaign in august the delay made voters realize fabrication is on its way.   In some constituencies voting results were out people celebrated for their good work they did electing their favorite and loved representative, for those who had second positions claimed to have been defaulted. International watchers participated in every step taken in the general election national wide and so far they didn’t remark misconduct.

As prior information disseminated by the designated commission which is NEC in specific that it will take time, 3 to 4 days for the presidential results to be announced in full. From26^th, to 29^th  most of the constituencies had brought out results of the elected MPs, and Ward officers  and the nation celebrated, certificates were handed out,. Zanzibar electoral commission revoked the entire election due to misconduct  occurred and it was not free and fair the island was in shock,  so as the mainland in no time it was cleared in Mainland the revocation of the Zanzibar election will have no effect. Apparently it was on 29^th Judge Damina Lubuva NEC  chairman,  declared John Pombe magufuli as the winner of the presidential election,  8Million voters said yes to Magufuli, and only 6Million said we believe in Lowassa. Anticipated by many the second place holder Edward lowassa claimed he was robbed of his rightful votes and he saw no free and free election that international watchers like Former presidents Good luck Jonathan of Nigeria  and Armando Guebuzza .  On 30^th he was announced to the nation as the President elect of the united republic of Tanzania. Few running mates came to the ceremony but the strong competitor Edward Lowassa was no show who opposed the entire voting process. Zanzibar still awaits for the re-election, in tension and fear where by two bombs just went off in two days. the self proclaimed president Malim Seif Hamad said the people will decide if no one in High power will act accordingly.

A case has been opened at the International Court of Justice, by UKAWA on the injustice done by the 5^th time ruling party on the general election that was carried out last Sunday. The ICJ will serve a judgment on how the entire election was handled on the documents submitted forth by both sides.
